ANTI-TRAFFICKING INITIATIVE
Combatting Human Trafficking and Preventing Abuse.
Our anti-trafficking initiative was created to protect and rescue the innocent victims of forced child labor and human trafficking across Southeast Asia.
RECOGNIZE - REPORT - RESPOND
The issue of modern day slavery and human trafficking affects nearly 40 million men, women, and children who are involved in forced child labor, sexual exploitation, and coerced marriage across Southeast Asia. Human trafficking is now one of the world’s most lucrative and organized crimes, generating more than $150 billion a year with two-thirds of its victims (25 million people) in East Asia and the Pacific.
That’s why we’re working all over Southeast Asia to stop human trafficking and shed light on this darkness and to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Join us in our fight to end modern day slavery—for good.
Our Selah (Safe) Houses for victims of human trafficking
Our Selah Safe Houses provide victims of modern day slavery immediate medical care, meals, private education (with online English courses), restoration and social interaction. This is a home where children and youth who survived human trafficking can find rest, safety, and love. It is here that we are able to focus on each child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being to provide hope, healing, and restoration for those within our care. Human trafficking and child labour was their past, not their future.
Our mission is to protect children from harm and abuse and our ultimate hope is for restoration and reintegration with the biological family unit, if at all possible. In this effort to halt human trafficking, we work in partnership with parents who are willing to cooperate and adhere to the necessary steps required to establish and maintain a healthy home environment suitable for the child’s safety, continued education, and overall well-being.
